The name Yellow Rose Glassworks was inspired by my great grandfather. Red Nobles was a stained glass artist, square dancing champion, and proud Texan who loved yellow roses.
Every window in my grandparents, great aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. homes had his art reflecting mesmerizing light and color. Those simple sun-catchers became such a vivid part of my childhood memory.
What was only a casual past time that started in the later years of papa’s life, sparked a fascination for the rest of mine.
